Gen6 x16 – 4, x8 MCIO Host Card w/ 1x16 Straddle Mount Connector (A0 144-lane Switch)
Product Description
Gen6 x16 – 4, x8 MCIO Host Card w/ 1x16 Straddle Mount Connector.
The Serial Cables Gen6 PCIe Host card features the Atlas 3 fanout switch from Broadcom and provides 64 lanes of Gen6 traffic to any end point downstream of the switch. This card has four (4) Gen6 x8 MCIO connectors as well as a Gen6 1x16 straddle mount connector for any edge-based solutions you may have. An integrated mCPU provides simple CLI control of the switch, allowing for monitoring and adjusting the various settings and modes of the switch. This switch leverages PCIe 6.0 PAM-4 encoding, which is accomplished through the “Talon 5” SerDes created by Broadcom, considered the best in the industry. Signal Integrity is of paramount importance to us and it's particularly important for Gen6, and these industry-leading SerDes can achieve that for your Gen6 testing.
Traditionally PCIe is centered around the CPU and the its ability to route traffic through the chipset, but with Gen6 PCIe & the Serial Cables Host Card, you don't need to wait for Gen6 compatible motherboards and CPUs to begin your Gen6 testing. Using a Gen5 system you already have from the previous generation, our Gen6 Host Card provides full Gen6 connectivity downstream of the switch.
- Highly Flexible Port Configurations
- Ultra Low Latency with FLIT & FEC
- Non-Transparent Port Capability
- DMA Channels
- True Peer-to-Peer Data Transfer
- Hot-Plug Support
- Robust firmware updates for feature releas
NOTICE: This switch requires a minimum of 80W and a maximum of 150W to operate as intended. Additional power supplied through CN8 is required to supply the necessary additional power for this switch. Failure to supply adequate additional power could cause damage to your motherboard. Standard PCIe x16 motherboard slots only provide 75W of power. Check your specific power supply vendor’s specifications for details on the supplied power you will be using.
